Pic of the Day: Not Your Typical College Toga Party

Happy New Year to all our Deac families!  As we wrap up our Winter Break and think about the spring semester starting again, it felt appropriate to find a classroom shot.

Wake has hired a number of really dynamic, amazing young faculty members in recent years.  One who I have heard a lot about in the ‘rising star’ vein is classics professor T.H.M. Gellar-Goad.  His teaching is innovative, interactive, and as it turns out, in costume.

This is a shot from his Latin Advanced Grammar and Prose Composition class, where the students often dress the part.
