As we close out this week, here is a final tip for students.  Again, this might be most applicable for new first-year students, but a good reminder to our upperclassmen/women.  It’s about packing for college.

One of the single best pieces of advice I got while I was at Wake was from my French professor who was taking us abroad to Dijon for the fall semester.  He told us this:

“Take out the absolute, bare minimum amount of clothing that you think you need for the semester – and lay it all on your bed.   Then pack half of what’s on the bed.”

Dr. Wells is a wise man.

Good luck as your students pack up their things!
