A brand new year is here!  And so many of us are making resolutions.  Resolutions are so hard, aren’t they?  Sometimes we have the best of intentions but try to make a Big Hairy Audacious Goal that is nearly impossible to reach.

A person I follow on Facebook suggested earlier in the year that people should make one very small goal – something they think they can do every day.  Not climb Mt. Everest or lose that 40 lbs that’s been lingering on your waistline forever.  But something small and achievable, something tquotes-be-kind-whenever_10435-1hat can be done every day.

Mine was to try and be kind to someone at least once a day, every day.  To me that’s doable – it could be a smile, a hug, a kind word, taking time to listen and be truly present when someone wants my attention.

Have you made a New Year’s resolution? Do you care to share it (as always, anonymously with just your first initial and P’ year of your student’s graduation.)  If you want to share, email parents@wfu.edu and if we get enough we will post them.
