Help Us with the Wake 500

Deac families, you know that most of the time we try to stick strictly to campus life and news in the Daily Deac, but today I am sending out a plea for help with a very special opportunity.

Part of the work we do in the Parent Programs office is to help raise money for the parents’ campaign of the Wake Forest Fund, our annual unrestricted giving fund that directly benefits students and faculty.  We are aiming for 3,100 current and past Wake Forest families to support the Wake Forest Fund by June 30th when our fiscal year ends.

We are a bit short (we are at 2,652) – but today only we have a special opportunity for you to make a gift and have it extend much further for the Wake Forest Fund.

– If we raise $100,000 for the Wake Forest Fund before midnight tonight (June 18th), a fellow Wake Forester will match it dollar for dollar

and 

– If there are just 500 total donations (of any amount) before midnight tonight, the Wake Forest Fund gets an additional $25,000.

Amazing news! Over 500 alumni and parents have already shown their support for the Wake Forest Fund, and we have reached our goal of $100,000.

But Wait, There’s More!

Because we achieved our donor goal with eight hours remaining, another alumnus has stepped forward with a new challenge. If 1,000 people give to the Wake Forest Fund before midnight tonight, we will earn an additional $25,000 match!
