There was a lot of interest (from students and others) about the TEDx conference that was held on campus this past weekend.  There is a great story about it on the Wake Forest news web site, with some video tweets about the conference.  Video will be available soon, so check back in a day or two to see more.

One of the speakers was Dr. Tony Atala of our medical school and the Institute for Regenerative Medicine.  He is one of the world’s leading experts on rebuilding organs using your body’s own stem cells.  I was a French-English double major here and can’t begin to explain it, but trust me when I say this man is incredible and the work he is doing is revolutionary.  More about Dr. Atala here.

This was an exciting, energetic, and creative conference.  Even just to look at Wait Chapel and what was done visually to stimulate thinking, was pretty impressive.  Enjoy some of the pictures of it.
