On campus this morning, most of our colleagues have been glued to the internet as news unfolds about the tragic earthquake in Japan and the resulting tsunami warnings. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wake Foresters in affected areas. We hope you are safe and well.
The WF News Center just tweeted that there was one WFU student studying abroad in Japan, but that the student has been contacted and is safe. That is an enormous relief.
One final note that touches on the poignant. The Winston-Salem premiere of the movie “The Fifth Quarter,” which chronicles the story of Luke Abbate and his brother Jon, who was an exceptional linebacker at Wake Forest, is scheduled for March 17th. Interested parties can sign up online.
