How do I access DEAC?
DEAC is an electronic billing system that allows students and authorized payers to view student account activity in real-time, 24/7. Students must authorize their parents or guardians on DEAC, and we strongly encourage them to do so.
How do I add Deacon Dollars to my student’s meal plan?
That is done through Financial Services.
How can I find out the balance of Deacon Dollars and Food Dollars on my student’s account?
The Deacon Dining website allows your student to check the balance of Deacon Dollars and Food Dollars. Students will need to create an account to check Food Dollars/Deacon Dollars balances. Students can set up a parent/guest user account.
How can I talk to a nurse or doctor if my student is ill and being seen by the Student Health Service?
Students who are seen at the Health Service are the controllers of their health information; except in life threatening situations, the Student Health Service cannot share health information with parents, friends, professors, or deans, without the students’ permission. Encourage your students to sign a release waiver at each visit if they want their care providers to be able to speak to you. Read more.
Who should I contact to notify of a family emergency that affects my student?
To report a serious illness, family emergency, or the passing of a family member, contact the Office of Academic Advising at 336.758.3320 or email@example.com.
NOTE: If you need to report an urgent situation with your student after hours, the 24-hour contact number for parents or families is the University Police number, 336.758.5591 (non emergency) or 336.758.5911 (emergency). They can get in touch with the on-call duty staff 24-hours/day.
