This is a follow-up message to the crime alert shared early this morning.

University officials have confirmed that the two students involved received minor injuries at an off-campus incident on Long Drive. Earlier this morning, both were released after being evaluated at a local hospital.

Because the altercation occurred among students who know each other, police do not believe there is a continuing threat to students or others on or near campus.

The University will continue to look into the matter and provide support to the students involved.

As a precaution, the Wake Forest University Police Department recommends reviewing personal safety and crime prevention tips and encourages students, faculty and staff to download LiveSafe, the free personal mobile campus safety application.
