Be Sure You Have Enrolled or Waived Health Insurance

Deac families, please make note of this important information. Each year, all undergraduate students (of all class years) have to prove they have health insurance by going through the Waiver process, or they will be automatically enrolled in the Student Plan (and you will have to pay it, even if they are covered under your insurance). Please, please be sure you have taken care of this so you are not billed for something you do not need.

From our Student Health Insurance office:

TAKE ACTION!  The 2017-2018 Student Health Insurance deadline to enroll or waive is August 31.  Student(s) will be automatically enrolled in the Student Blue health insurance plan offered by Wake Forest if they do not complete a waiver by Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. the insurance charge will remain on the student account. Please go to BCBSNC.COM/WFU and either enroll or waive.  Please call 1 (800) 579-8022 or 1 (336) 577-1338 for assistance.

If Your Student Has a Problem

One of the most important ways parents and families can help their students in college is by encouraging them to solve their own problems. Please bookmark or print out this Stop, Drop, and Roll flyer so you have it when your student contacts you with a problem.  Also, the flyer lists contact information for urgent and serious concerns where family intervention might be appropriate.
