From the Student Health Service:

On August 21, 2017, there will be a solar eclipse which will cross the path of the United States.  While it is an exciting opportunity to view this event, the Wake Forest Student Health Service wants to remind you that it is important to take protection to avoid permanent damage to the eyes which can occur from the sun’s rays. NASA and eye specialists recommend those who wish to view the eclipse use protective eyewear or viewers that have been certified as effective. Using even dark shaded sunglasses does not provide protection.

Information on how to view a solar eclipse safely and links to reputable vendors of solar eclipse glasses/viewers can be found at the following link: https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety
