The following message was sent to students on Friday, December 1 from the Division of Campus Life
It’s almost time for LOQ (Lighting of the Quad)!
Join Student Union in celebrating the holiday season with the WFU community as we light up the upper quad and enjoy a cappella performances, hot chocolate, pastries, and more.
You won’t want to miss one of Wake’s biggest festive traditions!
When: December 5th – 7:00 PM
Where: Hearn Plaza (Upper Quad)
The holiday season is a time to give to those in need. In honor of the LOQ service component, the VSC (Volunteer Service Corps) at WFU will be collecting donations of coats and blankets for the Potter’s House inside Benson on 12/4 and 12/5. You can also donate at the event.
Additionally, the first 100 individuals to bring a donation to Lighting of the Quad on Tuesday, December 5th will receive a unique commemorative ornament.
We look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions or need more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

One of the best ways parents/families can help their students is to let them solve their own problems. Use the Stop, Drop, and Roll method when your student contacts you with a problem. The flyer also lists contact information for serious concerns where family intervention might be appropriate.
Select slide shows from Orientation sessions are available online.
The Office of Family Engagement provides information and support to Wake Forest parents, guardians, grandparents, and family members. The office maintains the Family Engagement Page of the Wake Forest website, which is the primary vehicle of communication with families, as well as our Facebook and Twitter presence.
