The following message was sent to the campus community on September 27.

Today the Winston-Salem Police Department (WSPD) arrested a third and final suspect in connection with an armed robbery of Wake Forest students at their residence on Long Drive. Jimmy Farley Jr. now faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Following his arrest, the WSPD said no other suspects are being sought in this matter.

The University announced to students, faculty and staff on Sept. 9 that students living in an off-campus house were robbed. Authorities ask that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the WSPD at 336-773-7700 or CrimeStoppers at 336-727-2800.

Wake Forest has taken several steps to respond to the incident, including directly offering assistance and resources to the affected students. Police have increased security and patrols on campus and in the surrounding area, including campus entrances, nearby neighborhoods, parking lots and areas of frequent student foot traffic. Students can request extra patrols for off-campus locations from WSPD at 336-773-7700.
