College Cup events in Houston

Today’s Daily Deac is going to be a quick one.  This message went out to the WAKEHouston Community, but I have no idea if we have soccer parents or family members who read the Daily Deac, or if there are fans who just plan to go go Houston for the festivities.  I *wish* I could go myself, but it just isn’t in the cards.

So there are details below about Wake events surrounding the College Cup.  If you live in Houston or find that you’ll be there this weekend, join in the fun.  Ain’t no party like a Wake Forest party!

Campus Cup

Wake Forest is in the College Cup!

Put on your old gold and black and join the Streakin’ Deacon as we support the Demon Deacons’ bid for a national championship!  There will be various events throughout the weekend for you to mix and mingle with fellow Wake Foresters.

Friday, December 9

  • We will be tailgating on Rusk Street, near the southeast entrance to the stadium at the Fan Festival, starting at 3:30 pm CST. The tailgate will be family friendly, featuring beverages (beer and sodas), light snacks, raffle prizes, and tours of the Streakin’ Deacon. Athletics and Alumni Engagement staff members will be in attendance. Registration is not required for the tailgate, please stop by as your schedule allows.
  • National Semifinal Game, Wake Forest vs. Denver – 5 pm CST, BBVA Compass Stadium
    Get your tickets today! This is your opportunity to support Wake Forest as we battle it out to become the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Champion! Saturday, December 10

  • Join alumni, parents, and friends from the WAKEHouston community for a Happy Hour at Little Woodrow’s Eado from 4 – 6 pm CST. Registrants will receive two drink tickets and food will be available for purchase. Alumni Engagement staff will be raffling off prizes too! Please register here in advance.

Sunday, December 11

  • If Wake Forest advances to the Championship game on Sunday, join the Wake Forest family and the Streakin’ Deacon at an expanded Fan Festival on Rusk Street from 10:30 am – 1 pm CST.  Kickoff is at 1 pm CST. Registration is not required and game tickets can be purchased at the same link above.
