It’s the end of a pretty big week here, Deac families.  I haven’t seen the final tally on the 52 hours of giving in the Wake Forest Fund Double Down challenge, but I know it was over $500,000 (funded in part by a really nice match from some Alumni Council members and Trustees), and that parents and families answered the call in huge numbers.  Many thanks to all of you who helped us get there!!

Our Parent Programs office is gearing up for our high season in travel, when we go to New Student Receptions across the country.  We have several next week and the Daily Deacs will be a little lighter than usual.

For those of you looking for some great summer reading, my good colleagues at the Wake Forest Magazine polled some alumni authors for their best picks.  This is a web exclusive.  The summer issue of the Wake Forest Magazine should have hit your mailboxes – or will soon, depending on where you live.  It’s a fantastic issue dedicated to Wellbeing and it is inspiring to see all the great work people on this campus are doing for the good of humanity.

Have a great Black and Gold Friday!  (Did you wear black and gold today to show your school spirit???)
