We have a significant proportion of our students who are involved in a number of volunteer efforts on and off campus. If your student is volunteer-oriented, or if he/she is looking for exposure to a new group of people who share a common interest, some of these activities might be great for them.

Here’s a sampling of some of the things coming up soon:

PKA and Chi Omega Fundraiser
PKA and Chi Omega will be selling hot Cinnabons and other baked goods on  Thursday and Friday in front of the Pit.  Deacon dollars are accepted so come by for a sweet treat!

The Office of Sustainability Goes Green for Games
Saturday, November 3rd, 12:30-4pm, for the 3:30pm Kickoff vs. Boston College!   Meet at BB&T Field at the Game Day Recycling Tent located outside Bridger Field House.  Email Austin Smith, Game Day Recycling intern (smitad8@wfu.edu), noting which shift(s) you want to sign up for, and if you have any other questions.

Rake Forest
Rake Forest is an annual community outreach event hosted by Residence Life & Housing. The program is an opportunity for students to have a positive impact on the communities surrounding Wake Forest’s campus by volunteering their time. We will spend a morning in November helping local Winston-Salem citizens with some common, outdoor chores and projects.  The event will be held on Saturday, November 17 between 10am and 12:30pm. Everyone will meet at 10am on Davis field for their project assignments. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the Google Doc volunteer form which can be found at this link: http://tinyurl.com/rakeforest2012.
