One more full week and then many of our students will be headed to Thanksgiving break.  If your student is staying on campus and you want to order him/her a proper Thanksgiving meal, our office just received information from Salem Kitchen about their “Thanksgiving Feast.” You can contact them if you are interested.

As you might have read on the News section of the Parents’ Page, last week we had a high number of students reporting to Student Health with a flu-like illness.  For students who did not opt to get the flu vaccine when it was originally offered, there is going to be a second flu clinic tomorrow and Wednesday in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library.

After a stretch of fairly cold weather last week, the weekend proved to be lovely, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s.  So for students who wanted to get outside and enjoy the warm air and the beautiful fall leaves, they had ample opportunity.  It will be nearly 70 today, then it will move back to the 50s for the rest of the week.  Speaking of the rest of the week, the University Calendar is packed with activities this week – from lectures, to music and theatre, to sports, to everything in between.

For many Wake Forest alumni, this week will end with a trip to South Bend to see Wake Forest take on Notre Dame.  Wake Foresters tend to travel well for those big games, and there are still some tickets available if you want to get in on the action.  We’d love to see some Wake Forest parents there representing the Old Gold and Black.
