If your student is looking for an internship, we received information from our Office of Personal and Career Development that a new one is being posted, with a quick turnaround for applications.

The Friends of Cape Lookout is seeking an intern.

*The internship is now posted in DeaconSource and will be posted there until the system goes down on Friday.

*The intern will work with the Superintendent of the National Seashore Park to develop/write a business plan for using some recently renovated structures at the park. The project is expected to last a minimum of two weeks but could last the rest of the summer, depending on how long it takes to write the plan and if other projects arise. The internship is unpaid, however all expenses and lodging will be provided/covered. Preference is for an undergrad student to fill this role.

*Interested applicants must send a cover letter (to demonstrate writing ability) and resume to me (via email) by midnight on Sunday. The info for who to address the cover letter to w/ the address is fully disclosed in the DeaconSource posting. The system will go down Friday but we are allowing applicants to have the weekend to get their application documents to me. Those documents will then be emailed to the organization contact (in one PDF) on Monday.

If this interests your student, please ask him/her to log into DeaconSource as soon as possible.
