Today is a busy day on campus.  It’s the first of two Campus Days, where accepted students and their families come to Wake Forest – either to give it one last look as their student decides on his/her college of choice, or they have already decided and just want to come see us again.  We have about 400 families coming today for a variety of programs, and likely another 400 next Friday.

The weather has been great this week – a little cold, but sunny and beautiful – and I predict we’ll have some converts once they’ve seen the campus.  Normally there are about 50 dozen Krispy Kremes during the registration time period, and it’s always fun to see the uninitiated eat one for the first time.  By the way, if you are the parent or family member of the Class of 2016 and you’re here for Campus Day, stop by the big Parent Programs table at Registration to introduce yourself to us!

Rethinking Success concludes today, and it’s been a terrific gathering of thought leaders in higher education and business.  On the main WFU web page at the far right, you can see YouTube videos and other recaps of the conference.

There are other lectures, the WFU Theatre play, athletic events and other things as well.  Check the University Calendar for more.

Finally, it’s Black and Gold Friday, everyone!  Wherever you are, wear our school colors and show your Demon Deacon pride!  Have a terrific weekend, Deac Families!
