The Daily Deac is a non-partisan publication.  However, we do like to recognize when there are Wake Foresters involved in national matters, and a past WFU parent has just been named to the debt supercommittee.  House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.), who is the parent of a member of the Class of 2010, has been tapped to serve on the bipartisan panel.

Washington Post has an online article about this.

Will there be others named to this committee with Wake Forest connections?  We’ll have to wait and see what comes by the August 16th deadline, when leaders are to make their final choices.
